Varsity is the independent student newspaper for the University of Cambridge. Founded in 1947, we produce our 32-40 page, full colour newspaper on a weekly basis during term time (except during the Easter exam term) and 10,000 free print copies of each edition are distributed across all 31 Cambridge colleges, all University teaching faculties, city social spaces etc. Each publication distribution is done professionally and there are over 160 separate newspaper drop points in total. In addition, a further 20,000 electronic copies of each new edition are downloaded from our website. We have around 22,000 students “on campus” here at Cambridge (including 6,500 postgraduate students) plus around a further 10,000 University and College staff. We have branded Varsity newspaper distribution stands in Cambridge City centre at The Grand Arcade shopping centre where local residents and tourists can pick up copies too!
