The Independent Insurance Agents of New Mexico, (IIANM), chartered in 1934, is one of the oldest trade associations in the state. IIANM is the New Mexico arm of the “Big I”, the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, also by far the oldest and largest independent insurance producer’s organization in the U.S. We have received numerous national awards for excellence in the past ten years, including the "The 2009 Summit Award", “Best Education Program”, and “Outstanding State Association”. Although one of the smallest of the 51 state organizations in the “Big I” network, New Mexico has won more awards from the national organization than any other state organization.
