The Council for Responsible Genetics fosters public debate about the social, ethical and environmental implications of genetic technologies. CRG is non-profit, non-governmental organization that works through the media and concerned citizens to distribute accurate information and represent the public interest on emerging issues in biotechnology. CRG publishes GeneWatch, America's first and only magazine dedicated to monitoring biotechnology's social, ethical and environmental consequences. Since 1983, GeneWatch has covered a broad spectrum of issues, from genetically engineered foods to biological weapons, genetic privacy and discrimination, reproductive technologies, and human cloning.
