El Vaquero is the only student newspaper of Glendale Community College, serving the wide interests and information needs of a diverse student body of more than 25,000 full-time and part-time students. It publishes eight times during the fall and spring semesters with a multitalented staff of 15 to 20 students. The newspaper is also online at: elvaq.com El Vaquero also publishes a magazine, The Insider. The student newspaper, established in 1927, is a venerable part of campus history. El Vaquero trains and develops writers, editors, photographers, and design artists while producing a publication that has gained praise throughout the college community. Many alumni have gone on to write for other journalistic publications, newspapers, and magazines. he college adviser is Dr. Reut Cohen Schorr.
