Content is for everyone, which is why we’d like to spotlight a few of the many Issuu creators who work tirelessly within the LGBTQIA+ community and give a voice to others. Through articles, essays, and shared stories, we can better connect. This content allows us to celebrate ourselves and each other, embrace our differences, and speak up for those still fighting for human rights.

While we celebrate Pride Month in June, these publications are worth following year-round. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do — and happy Pride from all of us at Issuu.

1. QSaltLake Magazine

QSaltLake Magazine is Utah’s gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and ally monthly magazine. For the last 15 years, QSaltLake has become a resource for the local community, creating a space for celebration and inclusivity while also informing readers of local and national news.

The March 2022 issue covers Queer Olympians, Davis County Pride, and the controversial outcome of the discrimination complaint filed against Bringham Young University.

2. Queer Festival Heidelberg

The Queer Festival in Heidelberg, Germany, couldn’t be held for the last two years due to the pandemic. With the motto “We Are Everywhere,” the annual festival symbolizes tolerance, equality, and diversity for the city of Heidelberg and the surrounding region – it’s been sorely missed by the local community. The organizers were thrilled to welcome attendees back for three weeks of celebrations, live performances, and panel events.

The Queer Festival Program 2022 highlights the joyful return to the region’s most exciting LGBTQIA+ summer event.

3. OUT FRONT Magazine

OUT FRONT Magazine is the second-longest independently owned queer media outlet in the U.S and operates in the Denver metropolitan area. Through monthly issues, they have documented history from the AIDS crisis, to the legalization of same-sex marriage, and more. The magazine celebrates victories and amplifies the fight for human rights from an intersectional perspective.

OUT FRONT Magazine's May issue focuses on mental health and includes articles about size-inclusive fitness and veganism.

4. Outfest

Outfest is a name synonymous with world-class cinema and filmmaker development. Hosting virtual and in-person festivals, including Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival and Outfest Fusion QTBIPOC Film Festival, their 10-day events bring people together to participate in expert panels, exclusive screenings, and educational workshops.

The Outfest Fusion QTBIPOC Film Festival Guide shared the details of the 10-day virtual event in April 2022. Outfest Fusion is working to close the systemic access gap for LGBTQIA+ people of color.

The 2021 Outfest Los Angeles Film Guide detailed what attendees could expect during the festival last August. Look out for the 2022 edition coming later this year.

5. Amsterdam Gay Pride

Amsterdam Gay Pride, better known as Pride Amsterdam, is the annual gay pride festival held in the Amsterdam city center every August. First held in 1996, the event has always stood for freedom and diversity. For 26 years, people from all over the world have come together to join in this unforgettable experience.

In 2021, the festival celebrated its 25th year and wanted to find a way to commemorate it. Pride Amsterdam made an open call to past attendees to submit meaningful photos captured during the events over the years. After carefully reviewing the more than 13,000 photos submitted, 625 images were selected for a stunning photo book titled “Celebrating Diversity.” Take a look.

6. Same Same Weddings Magazine

Paddington Publications has been a premier wedding magazine publisher in Australia for more than 30 years. The publisher changed history when it became the first in its country to create a dedicated wedding magazine for same-sex couples. Same Same Weddings launched in 2018 and celebrates the unions of same-sex couples across Australia.

7. Lavender Magazine

Lavender Magazine is an award-winning print and online publication for LGBTQ+ readers. With a primary audience in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, it’s the go-to spot to learn all about happenings in the area, current trends, and the latest in cuisine, nightlife, travel, and style.

Lavender Magazine’s May/June issue celebrates Pride Month and shares about local Pride events coming up in June 2022.
