Buzzsaw Magazine

Ithaca, US

Buzzsaw magazine is Ithaca College's premier alternative magazine. Each issue of the publication, released three times every academic semester, features five distinct sections: News & Views (current events, local news and quasi-educated opinions), Upfront (selected dis-education of the month), Ministry of Cool (arts, entertainment, reviews and other cool things), Prose & Cons (short fiction, personal essay and other assorted lies) and Sawdust (satire in the vein of The Onion). Every month Buzzsaw selects a self-important theme, on which the entire issue is based. Past topics have included Education, Food, Independence, Denial, Future, Sex and Crisis. Buzzsaw is proud to call Jeff Cohen its advisor. Cohen is the founding director of the Park Center for Independent Media at Ithaca, founder of media watchdog group FAIR and an established media critic.
